We heard about this place where you can stop in and get churros and hot chocolate. We ended up stumbling upon it by accident while exploring by foot. Our curiosity got the best of us when we saw the line. The churros weren't that great, but it was a lovely experience.

Madrid, Spain - Post 1
Nate and I traveled to Madrid, Spain for one week and we returned last Sunday. We had an amazing trip and I am just now getting to re-sizing our photographs and posting them.. all 300 of them.
Our hotel was in Madrid but in a neighborhood slightly outside of the city center in a ritzy neighborhood with high end shopping stores that I would relate to Boston's Newbury Street. Because of that, we ended up purchasing four 10 ride tickets to explore everything by train instead of wasting money on taxis. Do the math and we rode the train 20 separate times together. As you can tell, we tried to see as much as possible during our week in Madrid. This will be one of many posts about our trip.
In Retiro Park:
Jamon y manchego in Retiro:
Human sculptures everywhere (and excellent ones at that!):
El Rastro (flea market) on a Sunday:
We stopped in a lot of eateries to try their tapas y vino:
This one was particularly hip and fun near the Rastro (flea market):

Colorado
We're back from CO! I don't have time to make a huge post right now, but I wanted to post some photographs from our trip. We had a blast hanging out with family and enjoying the scenery and wildlife in CO. Boulder, Estes Park, Cripple Creek, Bishop's Castle... good stuff.
Early morning walk w/ the dogs:
Cloudy, but beautiful:
Too late pulling out the camera, but I love this shot anyway. Driving on a mountain road and stopping for these guys:
On the way to Estes Park:
Someone didn't read the sign..
The Shining:

Happy anniversary!
I didn't have a chance to post yesterday, but it was our 4 year wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary to my best friend. I got beautiful flowers at work but the best part was the card that said "7 year date, 4 year mate." It put tears in my eyes. Love you!!!
And now.. we're off to Colorado. Pics to follow.

Red Sox
My husband and I had one of the coolest experiences ever last night. We won tickets to see the Red Sox, but these weren't just any tickets. We got to Fenway at 4:30 at which point we were given gloves and taken outside to watch batting practice.
A bunch of balls were getting hit to where we were standing. At one point a ball came really close to my husband so Josh Beckett walked over and said "what's up" to us and threw the ball to him.
A little while later someone hit the ball and as it was rolling toward us I "caught" it in my glove. My husband joked that he was ready to jump in front of me so he could be the one to catch it. Since we already had a ball, I gave that one away.
Then they took us on a tour and we learned all sorts of fun trivia.
After the tour, they took us to eat dinner - free lobster rolls, hot dogs, drinks, snacks... and of course, we also got to watch the game.
My husband joked that it was like winning the golden ticket. So much fun!
